25 Things to do while being stuck at home due to the Coronavirus (COVID 19) March 17 2020

 

So while being stuck at home for an unknown amount of time may seem difficult, here are some ideas that could make that time much more enjoyable!

 

  1. Reach out to your old friends or loved ones you haven’t spoken with in a while.
  2. Call you parents or grand-parents and listen to their life stories.  You may be amazed of the things they did when they were your age!
  3. Listen to your favorite music and dance around the house!  It is good exercise and will make you feel happy.
  4. Complete a puzzle or tackle a Rubik’s Cube
  5. Download language learning apps like Duolingo and learn a foreign language (so you can be ready for your next exotic trip!)
  6. Plan future vacations and dream a little.
  7. Watch all the movies (long ones especially) that you put off until now.
  8. Read the books you always wanted to read
  9. Try new recipes
  10. Pamper yourself at home with a Spa Day
  11. Start meditating even if it is only 5 to 10mins per day to begin with.
  12. Look through your picture albums and share the stories with loved ones
  13. Learn a new skill through Youtube or any other platforms.
  14. Learn how to make classic cocktails like a Negroni, Manhattan or old fashion.
  15. Fix what needs to be repaired around the house
  16. Paint a room or redecorate
  17. Start working out at home
  18. Make a list of things you are grateful for and read them everyday
  19. Organize your closet or pantry or anything that could use it ;)
  20. Buy gift cards from your local businesses to help support them during this time
  21. Play board games Pictionary, Trivial Pursuit, etc… with your family 
  22. Bake a cake or special dessert you always wanted to try
  23. Write poetry or start a journal
  24. Teach your dog new tricks
  25. Get lots of sleep!
